SEASIDE STYLE

With views of the town’s chateau and the beach just a few minutes away, this luxury boutique B&B offers a taste of the French seaside, in sophisticated style. The property is a converted 19th century wine merchant’s house; setting the tone perfectly for sampling the famous local wines and oysters.

The Location

Primarily a fishing town and famous for its oysters, if you like seafood, you’ll be in your element in Meze. You’ll be happy if you like wine too, since the town is famous for a dry white wine called Picpoul de Pinet, a great bedfellow for seafood. Situated in the Languedoc region of southern France, Meze is a beautiful, bustling seaside town, but off the region’s well-trodden tourist track. The property, located in the centre of the old town, close to the castle is perfectly placed to explore the harbours, beaches, markets and plentiful restaurants, bars and cafes. You won’t be stuck for things to do.

To get to Meze, it’s a 30 minute drive from Beziers and Montpellier airports and approx 90 minutes drive from Carcassonne airport.

Rob knows this corner of the world intimately.  He has been coming to Meze every year from the age of six.  Long enough anyway to fall in love with a certain house that he patiently admired from a distance.  After a career in financial journalism at The FT, the house is now his, and after some careful restoration Meze Maison was born.
