A tastefully renovated stone house in a rural Corbières village with stunning views, private pool and spectacular terrace spaces.
The Location
In the heart of the pretty little village of Servies-en-Val with its undeniably French vibe, this lovely French holiday house offers privacy and outstanding views across the rolling hillsides and vineyards. Take your time to explore the laneways of the village and other nearby towns and villages (like stunning Lagrasse) with their markets, cafes and restaurants – your hosts are always happy to provide advice on where to head to get the best experiences. There are also some superb wineries in the area offering world-renowned restaurants.
When you fancy a more urban vibe you can drive to larger towns like Carcassonne, Limoux or the spa town Rennes-les-Bains.
You can take a train from London King’s Cross to Carcassonne via Paris Nord, Gare de Lyon, Paris Gare De Lyon, and Narbonne in around 9 hours. Alternatively, you can fly direct to Carcassonne.
- The stylish, dark grey plunge pool is a lovely, lovely place to soak away the heat and soak in the stunning views
- The pool and it’s terrace and second living space, whilst across the lane from the house, provides a little haven. It’s quiet and secluded and the ideal space for an evening’s BBQ’ing
- The vineyards in this area are superb and you can sample (and buy) top quality wines
- Heading to Rennes-les-Bains for a day at the thermal spas with their naturally warm spring water renowned as a cure for rheumatism
- The area is full of walking routes and in very little time you can be in the “middle of no where” and we all need that sometimes
- The house has been renovated nicely with great beds and we love the little terrace off one of the bedrooms offering smashing views
- Three bedrooms – two with double beds and a third single

Tony and his long term partner Volodya have lived in the area for many years and have been welcoming guests to their gite business for almost 20 years. Living nearby, they are artistic, musical, social and generally superb hosts who are always ready to help you get the most from your stay.
