A stone’s throw from the Arno in a quiet upmarket residential area, Velona’s Jungle Luxury Suites is still close to the tourist meccas of central Florence. The Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio are 15 minutes’ amble through the ancient streets but you’re far enough away to find sanctuary at the end of a day’s sight-seeing.
