A Lecce jewel
Elegant and minimalist boutique hotel Palazzo de Noha is a real gem amongst the pretty streets near the Duomo of Lecce. Here, you’re surrounded by walls steeped in history, so you feel truly immersed in this often overlooked but stunning city.
The Location
Palazzo de Noha is in the Old Town district of Lecce, known as “The Florence of the South”. Rich in Baroque architecture, it has a lovely, historic centre full of picturesque lanes and wonderful churches. Piazza Sant’Oronzo and Piazza del Duomo are two main focal points, along with Lecce Cathedral but you’ll get a real sense of the town by strolling through the swarm of narrow streets that skirt the stately homes.
Brindisi – Salento airport is just 35 minutes away so getting to and from Lecce is an easy journey
- Everything has been designed and chosen with incredible care and attention to detail – there’s a lovely Zaha Hadid sofa in the ground floor reception which we LOVE!
- A sundowner on the terrace (feet dangling in the pool) before sampling Lecce’s culinary delights is a must
- Breakfast here is a work of art (check out the photos). Created with care and a varying menu it’s a reflection of the hotel’s belief in customer care
- A fun way to enjoy Lecce’s ‘centro storico’is to take the little tourist ‘train’ (trenino) which offers a guided tour of the centre – also useful for tired feet!
- Gelateria Pasticceria Natale is Lecce’s finest and most popular ice cream and cake shop
- Situated just off Piazza Sant’ Oronzo it’s open pretty much around the clock!
- Plus there’s Quanto Basta, the best Italian cocktail bar for Gambero Rosso… heaven
- A choice of superior rooms, deluxe rooms, suites or a junior suite, with customised linen and Simmons mattresses and pillows. Bliss
- Both of the Deluxe rooms are fully accessible and there’s a lift in the hotel
- Each room has Netflix, Wifi and a minibar (stocked with local produce)
- Luxury amenities by Culti in the great ensuites
- The self-catering apartment (sleeping five) offers a more independent stay and is bright, tastefully furnished and is quietly tucked away
- Fabulous, roof top terrace with Jacuzzi plus the “flower terrace” on the first floor, ideal escape
- Airport shuttle, making arriving and departing something you don’t need to worry about
Paola and Giorgio nutured a dream of finding a hotel in the historic centre of Lecce, one with light, original charm and style and a history of its own. They found it in Palazzo de Noha. Architects redesigned its spaces, keeping its original beauty but enhancing it with modern design elements to create this luxury guesthouse.

Perfetto! Great breakfast and a very warm welcome. Came to pick us up when we got lost in the city. Would definitely come back to this little palace - it's a once in a lifetime experience!
