This wonderful house is in a league of its own. With sumptuous bedrooms, evening meal options (should you not wish to venture far), an indoor heated pool (and sauna!!) and a walled garden this lavish but wonderfully relaxed place to stay pretty much has it all – including rave reviews from lifestyle publications such as Red Magazine and Condé Nast Traveller. To top it all the guest house is set within a very successful organic farm which adds an extra level of interest if you would like to take a tour during your stay.

Weddings & Celebrations

With its range of accommodation option, Launceston Farm is a lovely setting for any event or get together. Whilst the main Farmhouse sleeps up to 12 (plus infants), the two self contained cottages, Flint and The Bothy, sleep 2 each.

The Old Cart Shed seats up to 16 so if you are taking the whole place there will be plenty of room for everyone to come together and there are catering options available.

The Location

Nestled in the heart of the Dorset countryside only two hours from London, there is plenty of rural and coastal exploring on your doorstep; from the stunning stately homes and gardens at Longleat, Stourhead and Kingston Lacy to the nearby stretch of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast or the local market towns of Salisbury, Dorchester and Sherborne.

But you may be content to stay at home in this Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse, where you can enjoy guided tours of the working farm if Jimi is around, or wander in the walled garden.

The world famous Jurassic Coast and South West Coastal Path are only a short drive away so too are the thriving market towns of Dorchester, Salisbury and Sherborne where an afternoon can be easily idled away
Finding out about real life on a working organic farm with Sarah’s son Jimi, who manages the farm and is happy to walk and talk with guided tours when he is around
The option to enjoy a delicious evening meal expertly cooked by Sarah, a qualified Cordon Bleu chef, using farm produce and local ingredients.

Six beautifully decorated double rooms, with a lavish but relaxed style that befits this luxury country retreat
There are also beautiful LUXURY SELF CATERING COTTAGE FOR TWO for those who want more independence. Very romantic with lots of privacy

All the gadgets are here, including 32” LED TV and WiFi to make your visit easy and relaxing
Evening meals must be booked in advance. Food is honest, simple and deliciously rustic and a two-course dinner delivered to the door costs £15 per head
The local village pub is just a stone’s throw from the house and serves traditional, local food. It’s also dog friendly
For events The Old Cart Shed provides a refreshing 16-seated boardroom environment with stunning countryside and garden views

Sarah is the enterprising farmer who has lovingly restored this Grade II listed Georgian house where she was born. With her own quirky charm, Sarah has created an affordable indulgent, rural escape which is relaxed and welcoming. It’s a family affair too. Her son Jimi has come back to run the farm and her daughter Eve is the gardener and forager, with an impressive local knowledge. Together, they want to share every aspect of what they have created.
