There’s the most beautiful function room full of antiques and lovely exposed stonework on the middle floor, sandwiched between the restaurant terraces upstairs and the garden and apartments downstairs. The Location

Wind your way up through the ancient old town of Medina Sidonia – one of Europe’s oldest cities – and there at the top, with views across Andalucian countryside and down to the sea is this cluster of apartments with shared pools. The hub of the city is only minutes away, but the gardens, terraces and general vibe here create a sense of calm. There are castles and plazas to explore in the city, but if you choose to explore further the coast of the Costa de la Luz is only 30km away and there are fascinating towns and cities close by.

The nearest airports are Jerez (30mins), Gibraltar (50 mins), Seville (1hr) and Malaga (2hrs) with train lines serving the area via Spain’s high speed train links too.

It’s great that the apartments cater for a full range of budgets but all are top quality and well equipped
The interiors have been tastefully designed and incorporate traditional features as well as modern touches
The newly renovated Casa la Muralla gives you added privacy and extra space but also access to the beautiful common areas
The views from the restaurant and bar terraces are incredible and provide an amazing backdrop to a meal or a sun downer (or both)
If you need to head out and about then the wonderful coast around Vejer de la Frontera is easily accessible as are the cities of Cadiz or Jerez
If you venture to Jerez you need make time to visit one of the sherry bodegas to learn more about this underrated Spanish staple
This is a small, family run business and it shows through the quality and commitment to service

Some of the apartments can sleep extra adults or children via sofa beds and cots can also be accommodated
