Spring and the Easter holidays are a great time of year to enjoy a break a little further afield, whether it’s somewhere slightly warmer or simply a region you’ve never explored before. We’ve curated some fantastic places we think you might like to go for a jaunt – the only decision you need to make is which one to choose.
La Grande Maison, Loire Valley, France

Sweden in springtime is fabulous. Emerging from often colder winters, the streets start to fill and the cafe culture arrives again. Gothenburg, with its moat, cobbled laneways and parks, is a beautiful city year round, but spring sees it bloom. The Flora is a superb base in the heart of the city and its quirky design a real haven.

Tucked away in a valley overlooking olive groves and orchards sweeping down to the coast, this intimate B&B is the perfect place to escape and recharge. If you want to head out, you’ll find natural parks, beautiful hilltop villages and a stunning coastline. It really is the perfect mix.
