One of the things we particularly like is a nice bathroom. It doesn’t have to be over the top luxurious (it can be of course) but it does need to be stylish and a bit different. Check out these inspirational and stylish bathrooms from the Further Afield collection

This villa with just 12 bedrooms is a truly boutique affair. Each room is different but all have stunning views. The house can be rented as a whole for special events or stay there when it’s a relaxed, adult’s only hotel. Bathrooms are big and light – walk in showers are fab – with great toiletries.
Velona’s Jungle Luxury Suites – Florence
There are entire hotel rooms that are smaller than the bathrooms at these exuberantly designed luxury suites in Florence. But size obviously isn’t everything, and they’re also full to bursting with stylish touches and indulgent features.
Artist Residence Cornwall, Penzance
Part of the small chain of highly individual places to stay that started out in Brighton, the Cornish arm is in a lovely old Inn (=great bar and restaurant) and has 22 rooms all of which are styled with a retro and upcycling eye. Surf your day away before soaking in the tub. Perfect.
1902 Townhouse, Soller, Majorca
Lovely, lovely 1902 Townhouse is a beautifully restored palace in the heart of Soller. With its plunge pool and lovely terrace it’s a proper haven. As are the six individually styled bedrooms, each with a stunning bathroom.
Manoir de Plaisance, Benon, Western France
Ben and Michael’s lovely home offers the chance to escape “real life” and retreat and recharge in the stylishly renovated French country house. The house – and the bath above – ehas views across its stunning grounds and the bedrooms all have lovely bathrooms.
