Seawater

St Ives, Cornwall, England

Stylish seaside hideaway

This light, contemporary three-bedroomed cottage is the perfect haven for a luxury sea break. Tucked away near the centre of St Ives, Seawater offers tranquility and 5 Star gay friendly accommodation within a stone’s throw of the best beaches in the UK.

Location

With a coastline and natural light that has inspired artists for generations, St Ives is a much sought after holiday location – and Seawater provides a stylish place to stay right in the middle of town. You can unload your car right outside the door of this cosy granite cottage, situated in a quiet (non parking) street within minutes of the harbor, galleries and shops. There is a convenient allocated parking space at the nearby train station car park.

About The Owners

Alan and Sharon were graphic designers in London for 10 years before pursuing their dream of living by the sea – and moving to St Ives in 2006. They recognised the potential of this traditional granite cottage and with their passion for good design, they have personally created its unique cosy but cool style. This luxury cottage retains its traditional heritage while meeting its five star design brief.

  • It’s cosy yet cool with a modern style that makes it a perfect luxury hideaway for a five star break.
  • We love the fact that it’s in the centre of St Ives so you can enjoy all that this busy artists’ haven has to offer – and disappear back into your peaceful pad for some downtime.
  • It’s got a sea breeze courtyard for summer cocktails and snug sofas for winter warmers.
  • You can fling open the stable front door and enjoy the smell of the coast with a cup of tea... or gaze at palm trees against Cornish skies resting on the stable door at the back.
  • Kids will love the bunk beds – and if they are happy, you can truly relax.
  • From games to the gadgets, there’s plenty of attention to detail that matters.

  • Three bedrooms: one king sized double, one double and one with bunk beds ideal for children.
  • With an Italian bath, powerful bath shower, heated towel rail and stylish chrome finishing, the bathroom is a contemporary and relaxing space.
  • A stable front door reveals a light living room with two sofas to sink into and a digital wide screen TV and DVD to enjoy – all in an airy open plan space with stripped wooden flooring.
  • The kitchen provides the perfect place to enjoy dinner for six round the ample central table in this Shaker style space. With plenty of stainless steel appliances as well as an iPod dock and TV, you will find all the conveniences you need to enjoy a luxury break.
  • A log burning gas stove and traditional school radiators ensure that Seawater is warm and cosy when you come home from a cold, salty walk or surf on a winter weekend.
  • The decked and enclosed Courtyard garden complete with established palm trees, subtle lighting and easy seating mean that you can make the most of outdoor living on summer nights.
