South West France. Nestled in the heart of the rustic village of Gabian which sits in the foothills of the High Languedoc Natural Park surrounded by vineyards and in the view of the impressive Historical monument the Chateau de Cassan.

Within easy of reach of mountains, the fine sandy beaches of the Mediteranean, the historic artisan town of Pezenas and the lively and interesting cities of Béziers and Montpellier.

TGV to Agde or Béziers. International airports in Béziers, Montpellier, Carcasonne and Perpignan amongst others.

About The Owners

John and Jean-Maurice operate a very successful small interior design business from The Village House and work on a range of contemporary and traditional design projects in the area. Jean-Maurice also works for a Paris based media consultancy.

John studied design in London and then worked for a Mayfair architectural practice.Jean-Maurice, originally from New Caledonia, has a passion for sourcing fabrics and furnishings from across the world. They relocated to SW France in 2004 with their combined skills and enthusiasms to set up their business, bed and breakfast and wonderful home.

• The relaxed feel as you enter the beautiful courtyard - the simplicity of the styling creates a Zen like calm.

• The soothing sound of the village fountain from the room at the front of the house.

• Pezenas with its wonderful markets and boutiques.

• Although The Village House bed and breakfast has two bedrooms with en-suites, only one is occupied at a time. So as well as lots of privacy, you can choose on arrival between the classically styled master bedroom at the front of the house with balcony and view to the village fountain, or the contemporary styled double room at the rear of the house with views to the sunny garden terrace. Both are comfortably and stylishly furnished.

• Both have spacious en-suite bathrooms with different bath and shower options.

• Both are set round a very pretty and sunny first floor guest sun terrace with table, seating and fridge. Use of crockery, cutlery and drink making facilities should you return with your lunch to eat on the terrace.

• A continental breakfast is served either on the terrace or in the kitchen

• Free use of mountain bikes.

• Free Wifi and iPod dock.
