City Chic.

The very best of contemporary design blended beautifully with vintage charm. The perfect chill out gay friendly B&B base for exploring gay friendly and beautiful Montpellier.

‘Pierre's hospitality is the cherry on top of this beautiful boutique b&b with its unbeatable location’ Trip Advisor

Montpellier: South West France. In a quiet residential district of the city – the Arceaux. Ten minutes walk to the centre with its bars, cafés, restaurants and boutique shops. 25 minutes drive to wonderful beaches.

About The Owners

Pierre‘s family have lived in this house for five generations and now it is his turn to make his mark with the creation of a boutique b&b. He has introduced bold contemporary design without losing the spirit and style of this 1930’s house which he clearly has a great passion for. His grandparents would surely approve and be proud.

Pierre is very approachable, friendly and calm and always ready to help. He speaks good English.

• The quality of everything right down to the cutlery.

• As well as being beautifully designed it is also a very friendly and relaxing space.

• Les 4 étoiles has its own entrance for bed and breakfast guests and the owner lives in a separate part of the house. So while the owner is around if you need him you don’t ever feel like you are intruding.

• The sense of a home with a history. This house has been in the same family for five generations and it’s very generously shared with you by the latest generation.

• Pierre and his team are hugely helpful and will give you their excellent top tips on what to do and see if you want them to.

• The amazing lighting including hand-picked vintage classics and bold contemporary fittings.

• Montpellier – what a vibrant exciting city. Fast becoming the destination city in the South of France.

• The Saturday market at the bottom of the road – pick up a picnic for the beach.

• The beaches – choose from gay, nudist, speedo style and family.

• Boutique b&B: Four stunning, spacious and light rooms. They are all uniquely beautiful and perfectly designed by interior designer, Jacques de Milleville. Choose from Enif with its beautiful curves and lines, Izar with its 1930’s tiled floor and view over the garden, Naos with its small balcony and Mira with its beautiful painted floor. Seriously comfortable with huge king size beds and great linen. Each room has a flat screen satellite TV.

• Large walk-in rain showers (one room has a bath and no shower) with good quality white towels and L’Occitane en Provence bathroom products.

• Funky and relaxed communal area - lounge and relax on squashy sofas. There is also a first floor terrace off the communal space.

• A delicious and relaxed help yourself continental breakfast of pastries, fresh fruit, juice and fresh coffee is available in the communal space. Enjoy your breakfast around the communal table, in your room or on the terrace.

• Free Wifi.

January 2017: Robert

Great accommodation for my 2016 Christmas break in France with a friendly, English conversant host who was very helpful in suggesting advice for places to visit in Montpellier. Clean room and great breakfast. Highly recommended.
